What Does It Mean to
"Be Saved?
"

The Bible says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23) and that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:21). Jesus came to earth from heaven, born of the Virgin Mary,  both to be an example as to how to live a life that is fully submitted to God and to be the perfect and spotless sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. By His death on the cross, He willingly paid the wages for the sins of the entire world - that includes you and me. When we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, God takes the blood that Jesus shed on that cross as payment for our sins, so that we do not have to pay the penalty - which is death (complete separation from God, for all eternity, in  torments (Luke 16:23, Mark 9:43-44, Revelation 21:8).God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). That means that He loved you and me enough to give up that which was most precious to Him, His Son Jesus, to die in our place. So we could not only miss hell, but so that we could live an empowered, blessed and glorious life while on earth (John 10:10). If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and receive the blessed, purposeful life He desires for you, please say the following prayer out loud with a sincere heart:

Dear God, I believe that you sent Your Son Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He rose from  the dead and is alive right now. I want Jesus to come into my heart. I want Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. I choose to follow You, Lord Jesus, for the rest of my life. Now that I have received Jesus as my Lord, I am saved! Thank you Jesus, for saving my soul!!
