Why Is Faith Important?

WHY IS FAITH IMPORTANT?

A. First, No one can come into the kingdom of God without faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

1. We have to believe on Jesus. (Romans 10:9-11)

2. We have to have a a faith that He is able to save us from our sins. (Matthew 1:21)

3. We have to reach out to Jesus in faith, believing on Him as Savior, just to get into the kingdom of God at all. (John 3:16-20)

4. Being “in the church” and being in the kingdom of God are two different things. (Matthew 7:21-23)

B. Secondly, once you receive Christ, you have to REMAIN in Christ. And you cannot remain in Christ without faith.

1. The just shall live by faith. (Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Galatians 3:11).

2. Christ lives in us by faith. Galatians 2:20

C. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6)
